This year, we have managed to put together a similar project whose proceeds will go to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre’s “JCCC Foundation – Japanese Earthquake Relief Fund” to help rebuild and support those affected in the Fukushima disaster in the Tohoku region of Japan of almost one year ago. The JCCC is holding a memorial event this Sunday at their centre to commemorate the one year anniversary of the disaster, and the CD will be released at the same time. You are welcome to attend the memorial event (free for all), and you can even pick up a copy of the CD while you’re there ($20 including HST).

So…

Starting next week, you can stop by the JCCC and pick up your own copy. Distribution via iTunes, CD Baby, and other web retailers like Amazon.com will follow after the release on Sunday.

It’s too bad, because it’s also one less hour you can spend recording at Number 9. Especially too bad with some incredible insomniac rates that we’re currently offering.

Well, here we are, August 11th… and the month is almost up. Not on the calendar, but in our schedule. There are some serious projects occupying us through the end of the month, with fewer and fewer time slots available as the days go by. Clients, friends and family all came down to our Toronto recording studio to eat, drink and sing the night away.  The festivities went on until the wee hours of the morning with well over 100 people stopping by for the good time!

Our toy drive also turned out to be a grand success!  George and Cathy Rondina will be taking the giant mound of toys we collected down to the Yonge Street Mission this afternoon.  All of these great books, toys and trinkets will be headed towards children who wouldn’t otherwise be able to have gifts around the holidays.
