Biography
With over 35 years in the music industry, and over 450 recordings, Dan Cutrona is considered one of the most requested producers, arrangers, and keyboard players in the music business today.
Having studied at the Julliard School of Music in Manhattan, NY, Dan was prepared for a wide range of musical experiences. In 1977, Dan moved to Los Angeles, where he met up with Andrae Crouch, who was instrumental in recognizing Dan’s ability. Andrae helped find the right opportunities, and in no time, Dan was well on his way to a very successful career as a performer and studio musician. From that time, Dan began touring and performing/recording with Joe Cocker, Al Green, The Bee Gee’s, Billy Preston, Donna Summer, Deniece Williams, Sir Cliff Richard, Dion, as well as The Archers, Bryan Duncan, Larry Norman, Randy Stonehill, Phil Keaggy, Andrae Crouch, and Shelia Walsh
Over the past 10 years, Dan teamed up with members of the old Eric Clapton band, and now records regularly with them. In addition, Dan is asked to teach in various settings from universities to clinics. 4 years ago he helped establish a school of the in the Czech Republic for training musicians from around Eastern Europe. As well, Dan regularly teaches in London, England.
Dan has a command of all musical styles, with successful recordings in all genre’s, from country, pop, jazz, funk, hip-hop, R&B, rock, blues, gospel, and classical.
On the personal side…
Dan and his wife Kenda live in Eastern Ontario, just a short while form Toronto, and have 4 children… Dylan (14), Taelor (15), Ian (25) and Chantel (26). Chantel and her husband Sean live in Kobe, Japan where they teach English
