Composer Yuri Sazonoff has been writing and producing music for broadcast and commercial release for over a decade.  He has been involved in a wide range of productions, from film scores to Television programs to major record label releases.  Such productions include:

• Joan of Arc CBS mini series, Mirror‚ Last Dance, Barber of Siberia, Without Witnesses, Three Shades of Black, Tornado Warning, Canada Underground, End of the Line, Blueprint and many more.

He’s composed, arranged and orchestrated broadcast radio themes and jingles for the German national radio Bayrischer Rundfunk as well as various Moscow radio stations.

Yuri graduated from the Moscow Conservatory and started his career as an in-house composer/arranger and programmer for VIDEO FILM MOSCOW where he worked on a wide number of film and television productions. After his move to Munich Germany in 1992, he worked for:

He has composed and produced hundreds of television cues, ranging from sports and fashion themes to Christmas carols,  his resent works include music for 2004 – 2006 new year special editions of “Sex, Toys & Chocolate” on Life Network, “Kraft Specials” on Food Network, and “House and Home” for HGTV. He wrote numerous TV and radio commercials such as:

Yuri has produced music and sound effects for Multimedia CD ROM’s, computer games, and Websites which include: Double Bubble, “Espada” for TD Tower medical Spa, CD Win magazine Vol. 1-5, and Splitter Welten.

In 1998 Yuri set up his home base in Toronto where he works extensively as a composer and producer/orchestrator for SOLITUDES, AVALON, HALLMARK, FISHER PRICE, REFLECTION and UNIVERSAL labels.  Recent releases on these labels are over 50 CD’s including:

He has also been contracted to work as an arranger for the jingle production house Axon Studios and has over 3 years of experience working as instructor at Trebas Institute for Recording Arts and Television Productions. His production credits include producing tracks for a new talent who has been signed to Celine Dion’s management company.  Plus he has composition and arrangement credits on documentaries for NFB’s Royal Canadian Regiment and Sleeping Tigers (Asahi Baseball Story).  Among his resent assignments was producing dance tracks for Richard Simmons training exercise video and workout CD as well as composing music for documentaries such as: “Secrets of Egyptian Pyramids”, “Lost Battalion” and “Revelations. Where is Noah’s Arc”. He owns and operates the ORCHESTRAL RECORDING COMPANY that provides services for North American and Canadian composers and directors/producers facilitating the recording of film scores and orchestral music using world-class symphony orchestras and recording facilities in Moscow, Russia.
