Tim O’Neil (Detroit, Michigan) is a pianist, composer, and performer. His music ranges from a variety of styles including: Neo-Classical, Ambient, New Age, Gospel, Jazz, Broadway, Film, Orchestral, Pop, Ballade, and Rock.

He began his artistic pursuits at an early age with music and piano. At the age of two he began finding harmonies to corresponding tones; by the time he was three he started learning and playing Christmas carols on the family’s organ. He began piano lessons shortly thereafter with his greatest musical influence; Mildred Briggs, where he would spend the next 16 years studying classical piano, composition and music theory.

He has spent his life studying, performing, and teaching his craft. Tim has performed and toured with a variety of groups including: Celebrant Singers (Visalia, California), PVC (Detroit, Michigan), On Our Own Productions (Hamtramck, Michigan), Swanboro Productions (Roseville, Michigan), and a multitude of country clubs, churches, and private parties. In the late 80’s and early 90’s he composed imaging tracks for 107.1 WGPR (Detroit, Michigan), and 96.3 WHYT (Detroit, Michigan).

Being an artist who loves music and being in the recording studio, Tim has many influences which have inspired him over the years. In the Classical, Romantic, Baroque and Contemporary periods: Rachmaninov; Prokoviev; Chopin; Bach; Joplin; Mozart; Beethoven; Lizst; Clementi; Brahms. Today’s influences are Adiemus (Jenkins/Stockley); Tesh; Williams; Horner; Elfman; Zimmer; Kitaro; Glass; Newman; Parker (the Bird); Monk; Yuki Harada.

Tim started promoting his music online February 12, 2007, with the service Myspace. Within 3 months time he has had over 35,000 total plays, averaging 150-200 plays per day. He also manages roughly 12,000 fans on the site with returning fifty to one-hundred e-mail inquiries daily.

Tim has an extensive knowledge of music with years of experience in the field. Tim is a hard working, motivated, and positive individual with a passion and drive for music; which his work reflects. He can compose on the spot in any key in any style. Tim averages 1-3 compositions per day; with an average over four hundred pieces per year.
